When you get treated with one of our licensed acupuncturist, your body releases natural pain killers, reduces inflammation, and increases blood flow for healing.

Current research points to the fact that acupuncture is beneficial for a range of conditions. Fundamentally acupuncture works by taking you out of “fight or flight” mode (sympathetic nervous system) and activates your “rest and digest” mode (parasympathetic nervous system), promoting your body to heal and regenerate.

Olivia Peters-Lazaro, L.Ac. has been a licensed acupuncturist in California since 2009. After completing the four year acupuncture program she moved back to her home town to start Chico Community Acupuncture. Each year she maintains this license with further education in acupuncture for patient care including pain management, fertility and obstetrics, nervous system disorders, digestive diseases, and autoimmune disorders. She has seen first hand time and time again that acupuncture works and looks forward to helping you too.

Stephanie Haney L.Ac.

Stephanie Haney, L.Ac., has provided healthcare based on the traditions of Chinese medicine since 2013. A recent transplant to Chico, Stephanie treats pain and sports injuries, supports reproductive and hormonal health, chronic conditions, and emotional well-being. This foundation is complemented with the use of orthopedic massage, functional medicine, and food-based approaches to align her clients with their natural state of wellness. She incorporates shiatsu, trigger point, and myofascial release techniques into her therapeutic bodywork.
